|
A professional tutoring service may have a superb philosophy, a comprehensive list of
course offerings, superior service, excellent teachers and well-run lessons. However, in
the final analysis, what counts is complete success in attaining the student's educational
goals. Here's some of the positive results our clients can expect:
Our
students attain greater understanding, comprehension and mastery of their courses.
Students
who come to us with poor or failing grades end up doing well in their courses and scoring
high marks on their exams.
Our
students learn more effective study habits and homework skills which they take with them
and use in other courses.
Our
students make significant strides in their test taking skills.
Our
students end up with a greater sense of security and confidence in academic matters and
frequently use this increased capacity in other aspects of their life.
We've
justifiably earned the reputation
Tutoring
That Endures.

How Should A Student
Prepare For A Tutoring Session? |
When beginning a tutoring session, students should be prepared
physically and emotionally. Anticipating and resolving physical
needs ahead of time will prevent distractions and wasted time
during a tutoring session. The student should be well-rested, have
a snack, use the restroom, and get a drink before tutoring starts.
In addition to personal comfort, it is important to consider the
physical needs of a tutoring session. Make sure there is a
comfortable place to work that will be largely free of
distractions, and that all necessary materials are available.
In
addition to these commonsense preparations, there are other
considerations. Emotional preparation is a bit more difficult to
accomplish for students, but it is equally important for effective
tutoring. Students should strive to be relaxed. Beginning a
tutoring session with feelings of anxiety or stress can greatly
affect the tutoring session. While good tutors will have the
ability to overcome natural feelings of stress or discouragement,
if it is at all possible, upsetting situations prior to a tutoring
session should be avoided.
